Anne Marie Moore-Branom, 82 of Bedford, Texas and resident of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 in Bedford, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Duncan Cemetery on Wednesday, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bryan Pain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Anne Marie Moore-Branom was born on August 25, 1935 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Andrew Starrett Moore and Nora Mae (Johnson) Moore. Anne attended Duncan Junior High School and Duncan High School before transferring to and graduating from Hockaday College Preparatory School in 1953. She attended Oklahoma State University majoring in Art and Science. While there she was a member of the equestrian club, photography club and the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. There she met her husband Billy Joe Branom and the two were married in Duncan on June 20, 1954 and were together for 37 years. Anne began working at the concession counter at her father's movie theater in Duncan where she'd fill in for the projectionist or ticket booth if needed. After college she began working as a saleswoman for several fine women's boutiques. Anne was a strong and quick witted woman enjoyed her cats, collecting jewelry, shopping with her daughters and watching movies and tv shows; with her favorite being westerns, war and old black and white movies on Turner Classic. She was a previous member of the First Baptist Church in Duncan, the First Baptist Church in Bedford, Texas and the First Baptist Church in Euless, Texas.
Anne is survived by her two daughters; Deborah Lyon and her husband Michael Lyon of Wellston, Oklahoma; Stephanie Kay Branom of Midwest City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her ½ brother, Harold Moore of Duncan, Oklahoma; her sisters; Dorothy LaVerne Smith of Duncan, Oklahoma and Mary Nell Johnson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and her parents, Andrew and Nora Moore.
