Clyde Bilbrey, 93, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Duncan Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Steven and Louetta Grace officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Clyde Bilbrey was born on April 7, 1924, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to Benjamin Franklin Bilbrey and Fannie Mae (Boyd) Bilbrey. Clyde married the love of his life, Weanona Keck, on June 11, 1949, in Waurika, Oklahoma. They were married over 70 years.
Clyde worked as a carpenter and rancher. Clyde and Weanona were known throughout the area for raising parrots and other exotic birds.
Clyde was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church and enjoyed fishing, working with his hands and spending time with his family.
Clyde is survived by two sons: Dennis Bilbrey and wife Marilyn of Mustang, OK and Mike Bilbrey and wife Tammy of Duncan; Six grandchildren: Levi Bilbrey and wife Lindsay, Brett Bilbrey and wife Courtney, Staci Crow and husband Cacy, Kaci Ford and husband Trevor, Katie Taylor and husband Derrick, Kelli Wooten and husband Wade, and nine great grandchildren.
Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Weanona Keck Bilbrey; his parents, Benjamin and Fannie Bilbrey; infant son, Franklin Lee Bilbrey; brothers, J.M. Bilbrey, Donald Bilbrey, Bobby Bilbrey, a sister, Barbara Avens, and a daughter-in-law, Marsha Bilbrey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Miracle Revival Center, 2865 S 13th St, Duncan, OK 73534.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the doctors and staff of Country Club Care for the love and care they had given to Clyde and his wife, Weanona.
