Della's Story

Della Jean Williams 78, of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the South Brook Nursing Center in Ardmore.  She was born on April 7, 1939 in Rufe, Oklahoma to the late Leo Jennings Allenworth and Dovie Tollett Allenworth.  Jean was raised in Rufe and graduated from Rattan High School.  She later attended Nursing School.  In 1956 she moved to Velma, Oklahoma where she worked at Nichols Dairy Queen and later served as Mayor for the City of Velma for several years.  In 2008 she moved to Ardmore where she lived the rest of her life.  Jean loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  She enjoyed being involved in the community, being the Mayor of Velma and reading to the kids. 
She is survived by:
Children:              Cathy Dill, Madill, Oklahoma
                            Barbara Collins, Duncan, Oklahoma
 
Grandchildren:         Christina Davis, Taylor Eason, Will Waldrup, Kevin Collins and Emilee Collins
 
Great Grandchildren:  Raegan Davis, Coby Davis, Piper Collins and Melodee Schiemann
                                               
Brother:                       Kenneth Eugene Allensworth, Midwest City, Oklahoma
 
Sisters:                      Esther Allensworth, Hendrix, Oklahoma
                                 Joy May Allensworth, Rattan, Oklahoma
                                 Priscillia May Allensworth, Midwest, City, Oklahoma
 
Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.                                            
 
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.          
 
Visitation will be Thursday January 18, 2018 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Ok from 10am to 5pm.  
Services will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Velma Cemetery, Velma, Oklahoma.  Joe Patterson will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
