Diane Fritts Loftis, 76, lifetime resident of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday evening, April 12, 2017, at Gregston Nursing Facility in Marlow, Oklahoma.
Graveside services celebrating Diane's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating.
Diane was born on March 26, 1941 to J. K. and Myrle Fritts of Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years Dewey E. Loftis Jr.; her parents; her brothers, Gene Pat, Danny, Doug and Jim Fritts; her sister, Victoria (Vicky Beth); sister-in-law, Carol; brother-in-law Jack Boxell; and nephews, Jim Tom and Tony Boxell.
Diane is survived by her sister, Monty Fritts Boxell; her nieces, Debbie, Cindy, Holly and Diane, their spouses and children; her nephews, Tim, Joe and Chris Boxell and their families and the families of Jim Tom and Tony Boxell. Even though Diane had no children of her own she enjoyed the friendship of Dewey's daughter, Yolanda and son, Mark.
Diane was a graduate of Duncan High School and upon graduation was employed by Halliburton as a draftsman and completed in excess of 25 years of service with the company. She was talented in art and photography, and she spent many hours photographing her beloved animals and nature.
The family wishes to thank the following: especially Marilyn Hamblin, for their years of friendship and visits, Gary Dellinger - Diane's neighbor who was of great assistance, Betty and Charles Hunt - longtime friends, Courtney Morris, her nephew Chris, the staff of Ashbrook Village, Aspire Hospice and Gregston Nursing Facility for the care Diane received there. Diane will be greatly missed by all those who experienced her love and care.
