Former Duncan, Oklahoma resident Don Allen Krahl, 85, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Sept. 6, 2017.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at All Saints' Episcopal Church, Duncan, Oklahoma with the Rev. Susie Lindley officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.
Don Allen was born Sept. 11, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Jimmie I. and Paul Duval Krahl. He married Kathryn Joevelyn Isenhour on July 2, 1954 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Don was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army.
He graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1957 and was employed as a mechanical engineer with BS&B and CE Natco from 1958 to 1992. He also worked as a home builder from 1983 to 1989.
Don enjoyed playing golf, working on cars and his home. He was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Joevelyn Krahl, of the home; a son, Kevin Krahl and wife Kelly and daughter, Karen Penwright, all of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Doris Krahl of Venus, TX, Mary Riker of Oklahoma City and Karen Robberson and husband Dick of Edmond, Oklahoma; two brothers, Paul Krahl Jr. of Apple Valley, Calif. and Jim Krahl and wife Beulah of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandsons, John Krahl, David Krahl, William Penwright and Kevin Penwright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Norma Gay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Integris Hospice, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
