Don Stanley Nutt, 81, passed away in Duncan, Oklahoma, on April 18, 2017. He was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on Dec. 21, 1935.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church West, 200 S. 42nd, Duncan, with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Don graduated from Sulphur High school and soon pursued his passion and lifelong career in the car business. He made many friends and was always willing to counsel those in need.
He and the love of his life, Jerri, were married 53 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Myrtle Nutt, and his step-son, Bobby Bullard.
Don is survived by his wife, Jerri; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Gaylan Hunt, of Duncan; his sister, Barbara Jennings, of Lewisville, Texas; five grandsons, Jason Hunt and wife Holly, of Duncan, Brenton Hunt and wife Katie, of Plano, Texas, Brian Bullard and wife Erika, of Duncan, Chris Bullard and wife Beka, of Nashville, Tennessee, Collin Bullard and wife Candice, of Woodville, Texas; 11 "perfect" great-grandchildren; three nephews and families, Ray Jennings and wife Audrey, of Granby, Colorado, Bart Jennings and wife Lori, of Arlington, Texas, and Don Jennings and wife Nancy, of McKinney, Texas; and five great-nephews.
Don served on the Board of First Bank and Trust Co. for over 25 years. He was a Mason, served in the National Guard, and was a proud member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Don loved his "coffee group," fellow Board members, and his dear friend, Lewayne Jones.
The family is thankful for the love and support of New Hope Baptist Church and Dr. Chris Herndon, a special friend and doctor.
Memorials may be made in Don's name to New Hope Baptist Church or the charity of choice.
