Edward Leon Richardson, 68, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Marlow.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Darrell Blaine and Jim Willeford officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Eddie was born Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1948, in Wichita Falls to Colonel and Mary (Amason) Richardson. He attended and graduated from Central High Public Schools. He married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Willeford, on Aug. 22, 1969 in Central High. The couple made their home in the Central High area. Eddie was employed by Halliburton as a scheduler but his true love was farming. He was a man who enjoyed life and his family. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and singing, watching westerns, spending time with loved ones, telling stories about the good ole days, and cutting up and telling jokes. Eddie also enjoyed growing things in his garden. He enjoyed farming and often joked that he worked at Halliburton to support his farming habit.
Survivors include, wife, Cheryl Richardson of Marlow; daughter, Michele Jones and husband Robert of Central High; daughter, Sonya Payne and husband of John of Central High; four grandchildren; granddaughter, Kimber Newton and husband Kyler; granddaughter, Haley Izod and husband James; grandson, Jordan Jones and granddaughter, Jessica Jones. One precious great-granddaughter, Macie Newton. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Richardson of Central High; brother, Mark Richardson and wife Amy of Duncan; sister, Beverly Lorenzen of Central High; brother in law, Joe Bob Willeford and wife Kathy of Duncan; brother in law, Jim Willeford and wife Rhonda of Marlow; and sister in law, Janet Selman and husband Jim of Wichita Falls, TX.
He was preceded in death by brother, Ronnie Richardson and his father.
Pallbearers will be: T.J. Cosgrove, Bub Johnson, Jay Davis, Jordan Jones, Dustin Lorenzen, Kyler Newton and James Izod.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Cosgrove, Randy Tullous, Joe Dennis, James Gibbs and Jerry Hunter.
