Edwin "Ed"'s Story
Edwin M. "Ed" Lowe, 90, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Duncan, with Rev. Dr. Janice Sharp and Rev. Kathy Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.
The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Sunday, Sept. 17th from 1:30 to 3:30pm
Edwin M. Lowe was born Nov. 25, 1926 in Cotton County, Oklahoma to Lou Ella (Willis) and Thomas Loy Lowe. He graduated from Temple High School. Ed served in the United States Army-Air Force.
He married Willa Mae Campbell on July 7, 1951 in Waurika, Oklahoma.
Ed was employed with PSO as a District Operator. He was an active member of The American Legion Post 55, served as a Duncan Regional Hospital Auxiliary volunteer, and was involved in the Chisholm Trail Circuit Riders of Public Service Company of Oklahoma.
He was also an active member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Willa Mae Lowe, of the home; and a son, Craig Lowe of Duncan, Oklahoma; a niece, Carol Ann Lowe Craven and her daughter, LeAnn; and cousins, Lillie Mae Davis and her daughters, Cheryl and LeAnn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kennith Lee Lowe.
