Floy "Sue"'s Story

Floy "Sue" Morrison, 79, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 12, 1937, to Jacob Holloway and Lucy Leo (Hanks) Miller in Banty.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Whitt Funeral Home, Duncan.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at New Hope Baptist Church West in Duncan with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Sue attended Bennington public schools. She married Delbert Morrison on July 5, 1955, in Durant. They had five children. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Presgrove and Dr. Shick, retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed sewing and canning. She loved playing dominoes and cards with her friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was an avid OSU football fan.
Sue is survived by her husband of 61 years, Delbert; her children, Tamera and husband Steve Thacker, of Duncan, Jana and husband Gary Lowe, of Kingston, and Debra and husband Craig Dobrinski of Yukon; seven grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Michael Hodges, of Edmond, Travis and wife Emily McRae, of Edmond, Jessica Lowe and fiancé Jeremy Stevens, of Ardmore, Caleb Dobrinksi of Yukon, Cayden Dobrinski and fiancé Makayla Morton of Yukon, Cari and husband Jason Crow of Duncan, and Cory Thacker and fiancé Kristy Adams of Duncan; ten great-grandchildren, Davin Hodges, Easton Hodges, Liam McRae, Allie Stevens, Lily Dobrinski, Dylan Crow, Raelyn Crow, Deakon Crow, Kaleb Thacker, and Kellan Thacker; and one brother, James Harold Miller of Bokchito.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin E. Morrison, and an infant daughter.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sue's honor to Saint Jude's.
