Gary Dale Morrison passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at his home in Marlow. He was 66.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Marlow with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Gary was born Tuesday, June 27, 1950, in Marlow to M.L and Lillian Pearl (Willis) Morrison. Gary grew up a Marlow Outlaw, graduating in the Class of 1968.
He married the love of his life, his sweetheart, Marcy Lee Hazen on April 5, 1969 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Gary worked as a plater for Halliburton Oilfield Services in Duncan for 47 years.
Together, he and Marcy had two daughters, Wendi and Candi, which he just adored. Following his girls in their activities kept him on the go. Gary and Marcy loved to travel and golfing was his favorite hobby. He always had a smile, more of a grin and Gary liked to visit with everyone. He was family man, loved spending time with his loved ones. He took great joy in his granddaughters, enjoyed every moment with them. Gary will be missed greatly and remembered for his kindness and his gentle ways. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include, wife, Marcy Morrison, of the home; daughter, Wendi Rutz and husband, Dan, of Broken Arrow; daughter, Candi Travis and husband, Chad, of Marlow; four granddaughters, Haley Blalock and husband Jordan, of Moore, Hayden Travis of Marlow, Regan Rutz and Preslee Rutz, both of Broken Arrow; two brothers, Lendel Morrison and wife Sonya, of Pauls Valley and Don Morrison of Marlow; father-in-law, Bud Hazen and wife Leta, of Marlow; brother-in-law, Ricky Hazen and wife Bridgett, of Marlow; sister-in-law, Christi Monsey and husband, Johnny, of Pryor.
In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Dean Morrison.
Pallbearers are Ric Ward, Mike Ward, David Williams, Jay Boydston, Stanley Boydston and Greg Belcher
Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Watson and Bobby Woody
