George's Story

George Price "Ranger" Brown, a lifelong resident of Comanche, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Comanche.  He was 65 years old.  A funeral service will be held Monday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the pavilion at Fairlawn Cemetery, with Bro. Bob Waitman officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Ranger was born December 21, 1951 in Comanche, to George B. and Caroline Marie (Peck) Brown.  He was a graduate of Comanche High School.  He worked as a repossession agent, and also as an officer of the court.  Ranger was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed running and walking.  He loved horses, especially his horse, "Gene".   Ranger also enjoyed watching old movies.
He is survived by two children: a daughter, Kristal Kempf, and her husband John Parker Kempf, of Oklahoma City, OK; one son, Josh Brown and wife Kayla Brown, St. Jo, TX; four grandchildren: John Connor Kempf, Cora Eileen Kempf, Graci Brown, and Ashlynn Brown; and several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Ranger was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie; and one brother, Charles "Charlie" Brown.
