I'm sorry to say that we lost our rock Gerald Wayne Roden, 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. Graveside services are at 12:30 p.m. on Friday Feb. 3, 2017, at Duncan Cemetery with Pastor Dee Bowen officiating and military honors provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard. Funeral services are provided by Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Gerald Wayne Roden was born on Oct. 17, 1946, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Tom Roden and Eva (Goss) Roden. Gerald was everybody's go to for everything. He was always there to lend a hand with no complaints. Gerald was proud to serve his country in the US Army. After his service he worked as a rough neck in the oilfield. He enjoyed working on computers and tinkering and fixing all types of odds and ends.
He leaves behind his brother, Terry Roden of Duncan; sister, Della Patterson and her husband David, of Duncan; brother-in-law, Cotton Lane; four nephews, two nieces, four great-nephews, four great-nieces who loved him very much and a lot of cousins and friends who also loved him.
He was preceded in death by sister, Carol Jean Lane; brother, Billy Roden; and his parents Tom and Eva Roden.
