Glenda Gail Jackson, 72, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born on Sept. 22, 1944, in Anadarko, to Claude Thomas and Susan B. Milam.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Glenn McGee, Duncan Regional Hospital chaplain, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Glenda attended schools in Verden, Chickasha, and Duncan. She married Jimmie Ray Jackson on August 9, 1963, in Duncan. They raised five children, James Claude, Jeffrey Ray, Ronald Wayne, Shelly Rene, and Sunny Gayle. She owned and operated Special Occasions until she retired in 2004.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jimmie; her children, James Claude and spouse Vicki Jackson, Jeffrey Ray Jackson, Sunny Gayle Hunt, and Shelly Rene Neal; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Milam and Garry Milam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Ronald Wayne Jackson; and one brother, Teddy Dean Milam.
