Harry Franklin McGarr, of Oklahoma City, formally of Duncan, passed away on Jan. 24, 2017, after a hard fought battle with Parkinsons. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Duncan, officiated by Brian Pain. Private burial at Duncan.
Harry was born on Sept. 23, 1939, in Duncan to Harry L. and Pauline McGarr. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother in law, June and Jim England of Duncan and a sister Peggy McGarr. Survivors include his wife Bonnie of 55 years and one son, Kevin of Oklahoma City; a brother Bobby McGarr and wife Sharon of Duncan; a sister Becky Hennessee and husband Joe of Duncan; Numerous nieces and nephews of Duncan and Oklahoma City; Three brothers in law, Tony Ray and wife Aida of California, Eddie Ray and wife Eva of Ohio and Richard Ray and wife Joyce of Rhode Island.
Harry's career was in the trucking business of 40 years, including Fox Smythe Trucking, Mack Trucks, OK Kenworth and Hodges Trucking.
