Janet Belle Mays Pearson, age 75, Marlow, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, in Lawton.
Funeral service are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Blaine, Pastor, Central Baptist Church, Central High, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born Nov. 22, 1941, in Lawton to Woodrow Haskell and Opal Frances (Crawford) Mays. She grew up in Lawton and was a 1961 graduate of Lawton High School, later attending Cameron College. Janet married SFC (Retired) Richard Foster "Rick" Pearson on June 21, 1962, in Lawton. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2004.
Janet enjoyed working in her flower garden and tending to her pets. She had been a member of three different garden clubs. Janet was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her family deeply.
She is survived by her two sons, Shawn Pearson, Woodbridge, Virginia and Michael Pearson and wife Katina, Central High, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Trevor Pearson and wife Jennifer, Ryan Pearson and wife Kelly, Leander Pearson, Monique Pearson, Nicholas Pearson, Shelby Pearson, Samantha Pearson and Sierra Pearson; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Ayden, Declan, Elijah, Natalia and Arianna; her sister, Juanita Mays, Lawton; and her brother, Roger Mays, Cameron, Oklahoma.
Her parents and her son, Gregory Alan Pearson, preceded her in death.
