Jeneva Helen Norris, 93, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with the Rev. Dale Nease officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Jeneva was born Saturday, June 30, 1923, to Ward and Grace (Sigman) Barney. She graduated from Oakwood High School. She married her sweetheart, Leonard Norris, on Sept. 11, 1945, in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home in Bray and raised three children. Jeneva was a devoted wife and mother. She relocated to the Oklahoma City area in 2010 to be nearer to her family. Her hobbies included quilting, flower gardening, bird watching, church activities and taking care of her home. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Survivors include, daughter, Paula Norris Ruggles and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, son, Johnny Norris of Oklahoma City, grandchildren, Kevin Phelps, Bryan Norris and Mindy Embrey, and six beautiful great grandchildren. Survivors also include sister, Jean Hewitt of Canton, sister, Billie Haub and husband Larry of Yukon, daughter in law, Cyndi Hays and husband Johnny of Yukon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Mickey Norris, sister, Leota Crosby, sister, Bernice Delong and her parents.
