Jimmy Don Johnson

Memorial service for Jimmy Don Johnson will be at 1:00p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Southerland, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church West officiating.
Jimmy Don Johnson, 71, Duncan, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 in a Duncan hospital. He was born August 27, 1947 in Duncan to James Milton and Bertha Adiel (Miller) Johnson. Jimmy attended Liberty school for elementary and junior high and graduated from Duncan High School in 1964. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard right out of high school for six years. Jimmy Don worked at Goodyear for many years as a Maintenance Tech, which included electrical, hydraulic, welding and pneumatic. He enjoyed many things during his retirement; collecting and working on cars, mowing, taking care of his family and he loved watching his son grow up. He was a friend to everyone he met and was always willing to help them. He was a jack of all trades and if he couldn't fix something, he would consult one of his many friends.
Survivors include his best friend and longtime love, Cindy, of the home; his son and pride and joy, Jesse, of the home; brother in law, Ross Selby, Duncan; nephew, Lee Ross Selby and wife Leisa, Cashion, Oklahoma; niece, Lisa (Selby) Forrest and husband Michael, Lawton, Oklahoma; great nephews, Trey Edwards, Lawton and Walter Edwards, Lawton; great niece, Laina, Lawton and a host of Miller and Johnson cousins that he had many special memories with growing up.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolyn (Johnson) Selby.
