Juanita 'Nita''s Story
Juanita "Nita" Lynn Hartman, a resident of Comanche passed away suddenly, Monday evening Jan. 23, 2017, at Duncan Regional Hospital. She was 54 years old. A family service will be planned for a later time.
Nita was born April 16, 1962 in Hayward, California, to Lyle and Pearlita (Looney) Tolbertson. She came to the Comanche community in in 1979. She and Dewey Hartman were united in marriage on Feb. 18, 1980, at Liberty Baptist Church. Nita enjoyed riding horses, martial arts, watching Pastor Arnold Murray on television and playing with her dogs, "Murphy" and "Armani". Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Dewey, of the home; two sons, Joseph Hartman and wife Brandi, Duncan, Oklahoma, and Kevin Hartman, Comanche, Oklahoma; her mother, Pearlita Looney, Comanche, Oklahoma; one sister, Lois Tolbertson, Comanche, Oklahoma; two brothers, Todd Tolbertson, Comanche, OK and Marlon Toblertson and wife Beverly, Farmington, NM; seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Tolbertson, and her sister Jean Lindsey.
