Lumarlous Sue Adams, longtime resident of Empire, Oklahoma died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the age of 72.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton, OK.
She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 6, 1945. She was one of ten children born to Hazel and Reece Justus. Sue was raised in the small town of Loco, Oklahoma and moved to Carrollton, Texas after marrying Morrsie Dale Adams on May 24, 1971. She and Morrsie Dale lived there until returning to Empire in 1994. Sue loved her flowers, especially peonies. She enjoyed working with her hands, baking, gardening, sewing, upholstery work and taking care of babies. She loved listening to Papa and Dwayne playing and singing (pickin' and grinnin'). Sue will be remembered by those who knew and loved her as a giver.
She is survived by her husband Dale Adams, two siblings, Charles Justus and Edna Moody, her children Jim Howerton of Comanche, OK, Suzette Pennington of Empire, and Dale and Hillary Adams of Garland, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason Shaw, Kristen and John Selzer, Ashley Shaw, Jacob Howerton, Brandy and Benny Kimbro and great grandchildren, Aidan Shaw, Ashton Jones, Keiston Rosada, Gracie and Oliver Selzer along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Kaye Justus, Betty and Lena Mae.
