Marna Joy Kelly, 81, of Duncan, OK passed away Wednesday Jan. 31, 2018 in Duncan.
Funeral services will be 1:30pm Friday, Feb.2, 2018 at Highland Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Thursday, Feb. 1st 5:00 to 6:30pm
Marna Joy Moore was born Dec. 26, 1936 in Oklahoma City, OK to Georgia Pearl (Joy) and Dale Moore. She attended school in Taloga and Weatherford, OK. Marna married Danny Kelly on June 21, 1954 in Taloga. She was a homemaker, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marna and Danny were longtime members of Highland Park Baptist Church. She so enjoyed working with children, serving as nursery coordinator and a sponsor at Falls Creek, teaching 3 & 4 years old and many Vacation Bible School programs. She sang in the church choir, but just had to give it up because of the choir director...Danny Kelly (ha!). Marna loved her church and learned much from all her pastors sermons, especially Brother Jerry.
Marna volunteered for Christians Concerned for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Kelly of the home; three children, Steven Dale Kelly of Duncan, Danna Sue Smith and spouse Jay Michael of Plano, TX and Sonya Lynn Kimbro and spouse Brett Alan of Duncan; grandchildren: Gina Rodriguez and spouse Ed, Bridget Kelly and spouse Chad of Plano, Kelly Pollock and spouse Leann of Comanche, OK, Kristina Cook of Duncan, Kyle Kelly of Boyd, TX and Kelsey Pollock of Duncan; and great-grandchildren: Eliah, Chaili, Naomi, Hollister, Leighton, Dominic and Wyatt; and many other loving family members.
Marna was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Dale Moore; a brother, Jimmie Dale Moore; and a grandson, Dustin Michael Smith.
Pallbearers will be: Dale Anderson, Hubert Meade, Denny Hightower, Warren Baker, Jim Adams and Arvil Adkins. Honorary bearers are: Gene Mills, Frank Baker, Larry Martin and John Parker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the: Highland Park Baptist Church "Kitchen Fund".
