Marvin "Wayne"'s Story
Word has been received of the death of Marvin "Wayne" Pollock, 99 of Clinton, Oklahoma.
Mr. Pollock passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Clinton, Oklahoma.
A service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Wayne was born on March 6, 1918 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Joseph S.M.R. and Rachel (Osburne) Pollock. He grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force and later owned and operated Pollock Construction until 1967 when he moved to Stillwater and took a position at OSU in the Architect department where he supervised the construction projects on campus. In 1972, Wayne moved to Colorado and oversaw the construction of apartments on Fort Carson Military Base, returning to Stillwater to oversee the construction of the Stillwater Hospital. He later lived in Waco and Arkansas and worked in the construction business.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Linda and Frank Smith, of Stillwater, OK; two sons and daughter in law, Larry Pollock, of Lawton, OK and Jimmy and Cherry Pollock, of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Julie, Angie, Amy, Kathleen, and Sarah; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gerald Pollock; and four brothers and sisters.
