A graveside service will be 1:00pm Monday, April 30, 2018 at Duncan Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.
Mary Lou was born September 26, 1915 in Big Sandy, TN to Clarence and Maynie Clement. Her childhood was spent in Big Sandy where she graduated from Big Sandy High School. After her high school graduation Mary attended Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN and graduated with an associates degree. She taught first grade in a one room schoolhouse in Big Sandy.
On June 6, 1942 Mary married the love of her life, George Farmer in Magnolia, AR. They settled in Duncan, OK and lived there together until George's death in 1996.
Mary Lou is survived by a daughter, Lou Anne Blackburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Farmer; her parents; brothers, Edgar, Lloyd and Robert Clement; a sister, Virginia Presson; and a granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Blackburn.
Mary Lou will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. The family wishes to thank the staff of Integris Hospice of Oklahoma City, for their loving care.
