Mary Frances "Fran" Stogner, 88, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, with Pastor Ryan Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mary Frances Yeilding was born May 1, 1929 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Ida Hall (Taylor) and Walter Archie Yeilding. She graduated from Temple High School in 1947 and attended The University of Oklahoma. Fran married Joel Mack Stogner on Aug. 31, 1948.
She always handled the worst of times with a very positive outlook. Fran was a wonderful example to her family and friends, by always having a good attitude and a big smile, even under the most trying times. She enjoyed life to the fullest of her ability, as a homemaker, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and friend!
Survivors include a son, Joel Dan Stogner, of Duncan, Oklahoma; a brother, Robert "Butch" Yeilding and wife Virginia of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Renee Arias and husband Ruben of Amarillo, Texas, Cory Moore and wife Susannah of Pascagoula, MS and Kimberly Rosinbaum and husband Ben of Sanger, Texas; great-grandchildren: Amanda Hammons and husband Nick of Amarillo, Jayston Gallaher of Duncan, Nicole Arias of Amarillo, Rachel Moore and Aaron Moore, both of Pasagoula and Abigail Rosinbaum of Sanger; great-great-grandchildren: Michael Hammons of Amarillo and Carter Hammons, due April 2018; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Mack Stogner; a daughter, Beth Green; a sister, Ida Elizabeth Yeilding; and a brother, Walter Lester Yeilding.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers over the years at Chisholm Trail Assisted Living, Ten Oaks Memory Care Living Facility, Round the Clock Care and Aspire Hospice.
