Michael Brad Arrington, 38, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Duncan, with Pastor Russ Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Services are under the direction Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.
Family will visit with friends at the funeral home Friday, Jan. 20 from 5-7 p.m.
Mike was born on Jan. 6, 1979, in Duncan, Oklahoma and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Comanche High School, where he played football, wrestled, and earned a state title in weight lifting for the Comanche Indians. He graduated in 1997. Mike married his beloved wife, Shannon Lynn Arrington on Sept. 14, 2013. He was passionate about caring for, and providing for her and their children.
Mike was known for his strength and loyalty. A good listener and captivating story teller, anyone who confided in him knew of his compassion and wise advise. Mike loved to spend his summers in the rivers, lakes, and mountains of the beautiful state of Oklahoma. Mike loved to golf at the Duncan Golf Course. He spent his last few nights in town surrounded by family and close friends playing his favorite card game, Texas Hold'em Poker. He also made sure he had time to spend playing frisbee golf with his friends at the Simmons Center and Duncan Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Lynn Arrington, and their children Sage and Kristopher Anton. He also leaves behind his, father Vick Arrington and mother, Camilla Arrington; three brothers, Steve, Scott, and Matthew; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Debbie Duggar; and many close friends as a beloved member of his community.
Pallbearers for Michael are Keith Smith, Sean Oneal, Dalton Knox, Corey Hamilton, Chris Moore, Trevor Pearson, Ryan Sloan, and Yayo Varela.
