Nancy Lynn (Rogers) Roebuck, a lifelong resident of this community, passed away at her home, peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday morning, October 6, 2017. She was 57 years old. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Ray of Hope Church, with Pastor Randall Pitts officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Nancy was born November 28, 1959 in Waurika, OK to Thomas and Clara (Williams) Rogers. She was a 1978 graduate of Comanche High School, and then graduated from Rose State College. She was a registered nurse for many years, including the last several years as Director of Nurses at Temple Manor. She and Rick Roebuck were united in marriage on Dec. 31, 2002 in Las Vegas. Nancy and Rick enjoyed traveling to many different locations, including Alaska, Mexico, the Grand Canyon, and her favorite destination, Las Vegas. They also took great pleasure in riding ATV's in northeastern Oklahoma, and other places. Nancy had her constant companion, her dog "Isabel" usually at her side, and she always remembered her dog "Sugar" who had passed away. She loved teaching her granddaughters to cook. The family met every Sunday afternoon for dinner and the opportunity to spend time together.
Survivors include husband Rick, of the home; one son, Josh Watson and fiancé Cherry Kenyon, Comanche; Brandi Courtright and husband Eric, Comanche; two step-sons: Jeremy Roebuck and Jessie Roebuck and wife Jil, Comanche; her mother, Clara McAlister, Comanche; seven grandchildren: Will Watson, Melanie Watson, Isaac Michel, Kaden Robinson, Braylee Robinson, Jaylee Roebuck, and Hunter Roebuck; also three sisters: Ginger Berry and husband Roger, Waurika, OK, Patricia Robinson and husband Mark, Wichita Falls, TX, and Geline Windolz and husband Carl, Weatherford, OK; and many other relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Rogers; and one nephew, Kyle Berry.
