Norma Walker passed from this earth on February 25, 2017 at the age of 87 in Arlington, TX. Graveside services will be held in the Duncan Cemetery Thursday, March 2 at 12 p.m.
Norma was born in Stonewall, Okla. on October 5, 1929 to M.E. and Minnie Barberousse. She attended school in Hugo, Okla. where she met the love of her life, Ray Walker, whom she married. Norma and her husband, Ray, moved to Duncan in 1954. After Ray died in 1959, Norma continued residing in Duncan, where she raised her two sons, until her health forced her to move to Arlington, TX where she could be cared for by family.
Norma was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who looked forward to the day she would be reunited with the love of her life, her late husband. She worked at Haliburton Services until her retirement. Norma was an active member of the Eastside Church of Christ and was also involved with the Stephens County Humane Society.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Walker, parents, three brothers, M.E., Mark and Bill Barberouuse, and sister Juanita Spears.
Survivors: sister, Donna Baird of Gun Barrel City, TX; sons, Mike Walker and wife Barbara of Kennedale, TX, Ken Walker and wife Lynn of Dalworthington Gardens, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Walker of Little Rock, AK, Julie Webb of Kennedale, TX, Grant Walker of Plano, TX, Mandie Varrichio of Arlington, TX, Jon Walker of Kennedale, TX; great-grandchildren, Reagan and McKinley Webb of Kennedale, TX, Baylee Walker of Plano, TX and many nieces and nephews.
