Patty's Story

Patty Ruth "Pat" Davidson, age 90, and a longtime resident of rural Comanche, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the County Club Nursing home in Duncan.  A funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Bob Waitman officiating, assisted by Bro. Trent Young.  Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.  Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Patty was born on April 19, 1926, in the home of her parents Douglas and Novella Fleetwood.. Patty and S.F. "Buster" Davidson were united in marriage on Jan.
24, 1942. They had three children, Wendell, Janet and Billy.
Patty was a homemaker for most of her life in addition to helping her husband in farming and raising cattle. She also for a period of time worked in the home of local physician Dr. Jack Gregston and his wife doing household activities. She enjoyed watching their children grow up during that time.  Patty like family gatherings and enjoyed being around her grandchildren.   Family reunions at Lake Texhoma were also a special time for her to be with her extended family. The family enjoyed her excellent Chocolate and Coconut pies.  Patty was a member of Patterson Avenue Baptist church and served her church as Treasurer for many years. After  her husband passed, she  went to take care of her invalid ,mother for several years.
 Survivors include sons Wendell Davidson of Duncan, and Billy Davidson and his wife Doris of Comanche, Oklahoma; a daughter Janet Peck and her husband Ron of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandsons, Randy Peck and wife Cassie of Edmond, Oklahoma,  Jeff Peck and his wife Pam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shawn Peck of Yukon Oklahoma,  Wesley Davidson, Comanche, Oklahoma, Tony Davidson and his wife Renee of Comanche; granddaughters, Krista Kilbourn and husband Clayton of Bray,  Kacie Davidson of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Michelle Landis of Duncan; granddaughter-in-law, Kathy Davidson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Lucille Davidson of Choctaw, Oklahoma; a brother Orville Fleetwood and wife Pat  of Conroe, Texas,  along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
 Those family members who preceded her in death were her parent's, Douglas and Novella Fleetwood; husband Buster Davidson; brothers J.D Fleetwood, Steve Fleetwood and  Floyd Fleetwood; sister Ecile Loveday; a grandson Justin Davidson; a daughter-in-law Connie Davidson; a granddaughter-in-law Sue Davidson and a great-great-grandchild Damian Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Randy Peck, Jeff Peck, Shawn Peck, John Williams, Wes Davidson, and Ray Williams.  Honorary bearer will be Michael Davidson.
Memorial contributions may be given to Patterson Baptist Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
