Q.B. Davis, 89, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, in Marlow.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Q.B. was born Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1927. in the Hope Community to William Henry and Rosey (Fowler) Davis. He attended school at Hope and Bray. The Stephens county area was his home, living here his entire life. QB proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. On Feb. 26, 1950, QB married his sweetheart, Geraldine Elizabeth Hix in Duncan after many happy years, she preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 1997. He worked in the oil field as a tool pusher for Big Chief Drilling Company for 41 years. He enjoyed the simple things in life, he worked hard took care of his family and was a good man. QB loved to watch boxing and bull riding every chance he got. He was known to be quite particular about his yard, he would not only mow his own but many other yards for neighbors and friends as well. He was a kind man and will be remembered well and missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include, daughter, Shirley Bouisri and husband Rachid of Marlow; daughter, Diana L. Miller of Tulsa; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, JoAnn Rosh and husband Duane, Lois Ensminger, Florence Blundell, Peggy Gibson all of Marlow; a cousin, Mildred McClain of Heart, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother, Loyd Davis and a sister, Dorothy Elroy.
