Ricky Rippetoe, age 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on March 22, 2014, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was born on Feb. 13, 1947, to Milton and Sybil Rippetoe in Hollis, Oklahoma. Rick graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting. He served for six years in the National Guard. After college, Rick worked as an accountant in the Dallas area before settling in Duncan, Oklahoma, where he started his own business. He later lived in Chickasha for six years, running a dry-cleaning business, before returning to Duncan, where he lived the remainder of his life.
Since 2004, Rick traveled the country for his work for the Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance, where he helped victims of natural disasters. Rick enjoyed traveling, hunting, watching football, telling stories, and spending time with his many friends and family members. Rick is survived by his three daughters and a son-in-law, his eleven grandchildren, his mother, his sister, his four brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
