Tana Gay Fitzgerald Cummings passed away on Saturday, September 9, at the age of 73. She was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, on February 21, 1944, to LeRoy and LaVada (Denny) Fitzgerald.
Family visitation will be on Thursday, September 14, from 5:30-6:30 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 15, at 10:30 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery in Rush Springs. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Tana graduated from Empire High School in 1962. She married Jack Cummings on June 21, 1962. They had four children, Jamie Ann, Terry Gene, Tonya Dawn, and Charles Roy. For many years she worked at Braum's.
She enjoyed cross-stitching, reading books, and working word searches. She loved spending time and playing games with her grandchildren. She collected refrigerator magnets and all kinds of memorabilia with apples. She was a member of the Church of Christ.?She is survived by her children, Jamie Ann Mangum and Terry Gene Cummings, both of Duncan, Tonya "Dawn" and husband Greg Stover of Springdale, AR, and Charles Roy and wife Jeanie Cummings of Comanche; seven grandchildren, Justin Dean and his wife Laramie Mangum, Bobby Joe and his wife Bethany Mangum, Paxton Lee Stover, Parker Don Stover, Hopelynn Christine Cummings, Charlee Rheann Cummings, and Carcen Case Cummings; three great-grandchildren, Aurora Lynn Mangum, Justin Wayne Mangum, and Braxton Joe Mangum; and five sisters, LaRoyce Brown, Lois Bray, Ava Blumer, Vicky Moore, and Jeanita Papayik. ?She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Jackson David Mangum; brothers, Carol Lee Fitzgerald and Harvey Dale Fitzgerald, and sister, Wilma Joy Mares.
