Thomas Harper Armstrong passed away on April 2, 2017 in John Knox Care Center in Kansas City.
Thomas was born February 2, 1939 in Duncan, Oklahoma, the son of Forrest and Ruth Armstrong. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1957 and attended Oklahoma University and the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated from Dallas Baptist University. He interned at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, and then as a registered medical technologist he worked at Dodge City Trinity, Dodge City Regional Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, and RHD in Dallas TX.
On August 21, 1960, he married Anita Griggs Armstrong. They had 3 sons, Gary, David, and Kevin. They had four grandchildren: Michael Louis, Katherine Hope, Paul Gordon, and Clare Elizabeth Hokiahse Armstrong.
Thomas was active as an elder and deacon in the Christian Church, and helped lead as a Boy Scout leader, Lions Club, and the Jaycees.
Thomas had 11 aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father Ray Dalton, and brother Donald.
He is survived by his wife Anita, three sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be at Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan on Wednesday, April 5, at 10:00-11:00. Burial will follow immediately at Resthaven in Duncan.
