Vanita Jeanette Coffee Sain, 80, a retired billing clerk, went to be with our Lord Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport, Texas, with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Rev. Randy Sutherland will officiate. Pallbearers include Gaylord Kennedy, Travis Provence, Randy Kleam, Bruce Fleetwood, Kris Blundell, Aaron Linden, Tyeler Cooper, and Charlie Cooper. Honorary pallbearers are Don Hulsey, Dawayne Kennedy, William Lee Slagle, Spencer Mullins, David Sain, and Patrick Robbins.
Vanita was born on Feb. 1, 1937, to Edgar and Hattie (Slagle) Coffee in Paradise, Texas. Her occupations included, Admissions at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma; 3-M Corporation; Duncan Savings and Loan. She retired from Halliburton where she was an accounts payable clerk. Vanita was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Vanita was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Kirby in 1969; her husband J.L. Sain in 2012.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Greg Kirby and wife Rhonda of Duncan, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Kaci Blundell and husband Kris of Marlow, Oklahoma, Apryl Linden and husband Aaron of Marlow, Oklahoma; her great-grandchildren, Kyah Blundell, Kiera Blundell, Alexi, Andrew, and Ava Linden; her sister, Cheryl Bost and husband Jim of Bridgeport; her niece, Melanie Cooper and husband Charlie; her great-nephews, Tyeler and Cody; other family members and a host of friends.
