William "Kenny" Sims, 90, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Friday morning on March 17, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday March 21, 2017 at West Side Christian Church with Pastor Terry Schlein officiating. Memorial services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
William Kenneth "Kenny" Sims was born on Jan. 23, 1927, in Duncan, Oklahoma to M.T. Sims and Eunice (Corely) Sims. After graduating for Duncan High School Kenny joined the U.S. Navy and served his country during World War II. Kenny married Gerene N. (Lamar) Sims on Nov. 20, 1953 in Duncan. They were married for 46 years before her passing on June 7, 1999. 
Kenny married Ninfa Alvarez on Feb. 17, 2002, in Duncan, OK.  He worked as an Senior Corrosion Engineer for Koch Oil Company for many years. Kenny was longtime and beloved member of West Side Christian Church. Servicing the church in many different capacities. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. 
Kenny is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ninfa Sims of the home; his children, Gaylia Farris, of Duncan, Oklahoma, Ronnie Sims, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Sharp Frost of Clearwater, Florida; his grandchildren, Kelly Ungerecht, and Darren Sims; Nieces and Nephews; Bill and Gail Sims, Marcus and Lourdes Sims, Monica and John Sims Hannon, Vanessa Armstrong, Diana and Keith Snider, John and Theresa Sims.
Kenny is preceded by his parents;  M. T. Sims and Eunice Corely Sims, his wife, Gerene Sims, and his brothers; Jerry Sims, Donald Ray Sims, and Billy Gene Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy and Janet Rosine, Jesus Tamez, J R Hasty and Leah Miller.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the West Side Christian Church at 1800 W Beech Ave, Duncan, OK 73533 or to Faith Hospice of Lawton 1836 NW 52nd St., Suite B, Lawton, OK 73505.
