Oklahoma City - Arleen Yvonne Flinner, a cherished soul known for her kindness, humor and remarkable handiness, passed away peacefully June 18, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born Aug. 15, 1951, in Waurika, Oklahoma, Arleen grew up in a loving family and carried that love into every facet of her life.

Arleen was the beloved matriarch of her family, a source of unwavering support and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in her son Josh Flinner and his husband Harold of Oklahoma City, and her daughter Karen Johnson and her husband Mike of Greensville, South Carolina. Arleen's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her grandchildren, Timothy and Samuel Johnson. She is also fondly remembered by her sister Nell Rose; cousin Mona Kemp; aunt Myra Nell Allen and niece Dorothy Curry.

Arleen was preceded in death by her devoted parents Barbara (Cassil) and Robert Ford; her loving husband Ed Flinner; her sister Brenda Moody; her brother Mike Cassil and her grandmother Ruthie Wortham.
Arleen was a proud graduate of Brazosport High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and developed her strong work ethic. She carried this into her career as an auto-mechanic service writer. Her colleagues knew Arleen as someone who could always be counted on to fix any problem, no matter how challenging.
A woman of faith, Arleen's Christian beliefs were a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and solace. While living in Duncan, she was actively involved in her church City Heights Baptist, where her warm presence was a comfort to all who knew her.
Arleen had a passion for the simpler pleasures in life. She was an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race and always ready to discuss the latest track events. Her love for reading provided her with endless worlds to explore, and she found relaxation in the quiet strategy of solitaire. Arleen's love for country music was well-known, as was her talent for singing along to her favorite tunes.
Those who knew Arleen will remember her for the kindness that she showed to everyone she met, the laughter that seemed to follow her wherever she went, and her ability to fix anything that was broken. Her presence was a gift to all, and her absence will be deeply felt.
