Ava Nell Hambrick 93, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Hosch and Kelvin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Ava Nell was born October 20, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Thomas Preston & Myra Carter. She was a member of the Bethesda Church of God and was loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Ave Nell married Jerry Bridgeman on October 18, 1947 in Grandfield, Oklahoma and he

preceded her in death February 15, 1975. She later married Jim Hambrick in September of 1975 and he died in September 1995.

Ava Nell is survived by her son; Larry Bridgeman and his wife Donna, grandchildren; Deana Kay & Jason Hosch, and Angela & David Wiggins, great-grandchildren; Kristian & Blaine Talmadge, Alyssa & Darren Ross, Jenna Hosch, Hunter Wiggins, Kady Beth Wiggins and great-great grandson; Elijah Lynn Ross.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; Jerry Bridgemen and Jim Hambrick, her parents Thomas & Myra Carter, brothers; Albert, Garland & Allen Carter and a sister; Alene Bridgeman.

Pallbearers will be David Wiggins, Jason Hosch, Blaine Talmadge, Darren Ross, Hunter Wiggins and Kelvin Copeland and Honorary Pallbearer Roger Bridgeman.
