Billy Gene 'B.G.' Johnson 1926 - 2015 B.G. departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, among his loved ones in Dallas, Texas. The elder son of James and Mittie Johnson, of Duncan, Bill worked for a time at Rich's Shoes in Duncan before embarking on a highly successful 40 year career as a self proclaimed "soda-pop peddler" for Coca-Cola USA. During his tenure he built a top-flight sales organization consisting of colleagues he considered family. It was during this time that he was introduced to his favorite quote: "Life is mostly froth and bubble, but two things stand like stone: kindness in another's trouble, and courage in your own." Bill was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 61 years, Madelon Jo (Wyrick) Johnson. He is survived by son, Jim; wife, Sherrie, of Princeton, Texas; daughter Laurie and husband Paul Haefner, of Dallas; grandchildren Doug and Eileen Haefner, of Dallas; and his brother David Johnson and wife Pat, of Bethany.
