Lawton, Oklahoma - Graveside service for B.B. Crawford will be at 11 a.m, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, Oklahoma with Eldon Lleranas officiating.

B.B. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who passed away April 1, 2026 in Ft. Worth, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love for God and family.

B.B. was born July 29,1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Marie and Frank Crawford. His early school years were marked with many moves as his father moved for work in the oil field. He said he had moved ten times by the time he was in third grade. His parents, sister Elizabeth, and he eventually settled in Comanche, Oklahoma where he graduated high school. He began his education at Oklahoma A&M and worked on a seismic crew in Louisiana. He was drafted to serve in the Korean War, where he was deployed as a Seismic crew member.

He was discharged honorably and upon returning to the U.S., achieving a degree in Geological Engineering in 1957. During his last year of college, he made the acquaintance of Norma Jean Smith on Valentine's Day on a blind date. They were married Dec. 9, 1958, in Midland, Texas. The oil field was a difficult industry to find work at this time, so B.B. returned to the University of Oklahoma and achieved a Juris Doctorate of Law. His career was spent mostly in the Oil and Gas industry, as Oil and Gas attorney and land man in Duncan, Oklahoma, where they raised their children. After retirement he and Norma moved to Lawton, Oklahoma and had recently relocated to Ft Worth area. His work ethic and integrity earned him respect of colleagues and clients. Outside of work he cared deeply for his family, loved OU football, and most of all serving God.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister and wife, Norma Jean.

He is survived by his four children: Mark (Robin), David, (Jennifer), Jan (Robin) and Karen (Randy); 10 grandchildren: Meredith, Luke, John, Rachel, Ryan, Kathryn, Stuart, Eric, Ben and Isaac; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and nieces and nephews.

He remained true to God and was faithful to the end.
