Brenda Davis Obituary

Duncan - Brenda Finnell Davis passed away June 20, 2025, after a short illness. Her passing allowed four people to live on through organ and tissue donation.

Born April 16,1953, in Duncan, to the late Jay and Mary Finnell of Comanche Oklahoma, she graduated from Comanche High School then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Social Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma.

After graduation, she worked at Southwestern Bell before starting a career in Oklahoma City radio in sales. She worked at KXXY and The Twister Radio stations before moving to New Orleans in 1990 to work for WNOE country radio, then WNOL-TV. Then moving to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000, she worked as an account executive at WSMV NBC and WTVF CBS from 2003-2007. She was a senior account executive director at Moore Media and AUTOFLYTE from 2009 until her death. As part of her many jobs, Brenda had many friends and brushed shoulders with many of today's country music stars. She had so many stories. The most important thing to her though was being a role model and helping people. When Brenda loved, she did it with her whole heart. She especially loved her family, friends and her dogs. Her love for nature and travel kept her busy taking little adventures, because to her every day was an opportunity to go somewhere new. She moved back to Duncan earlier this year to be closer to family. Brenda's spirit will live on in all of us in different ways as she soars with the eagles.

Survivors include sisters: Wendy Mangum, Kathy Finnell and Karla Finnell; nieces: Misty Davis and Mandy Green; nephews: Jason Mangum, Tristan DeYoung and Taner Davis; grand nephews and nieces: Colton Davis, Ethan Kaiser, Jesse Greene, Elizabeth and Avery Mangum and family Paulette and Shannon Davis.

A memorial service will take place at. 1 p.m. July 12, 2025, at Hidden Creek Event Center, 21007 E. Highway 7, Duncan. We will offer for anyone to share a memory that brings them joy about Brenda, and a lunch to follow.

Because of her deep love for animals and rescues, make donations in lieu of flowers to: Friends of the Wichita's, P.O. Box 1032, Cache, Oklahoma, 73527, or to animal rescue Happy Retales, 101 Creekside Crossing, #900, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027.
