Carolyn Ann Atkison Obituary

Carolyn Ann Atkison peacefully passed from this life on December 8, 2019 at her home in Duncan, OK.


Carol was born January 31, 1955 in Tulare ,CA to Charles E and Leatha L (Couch) Willhite. She attended school in Downey ,CA at age 16 moved to Paris , AR where she meet her life long friends Judy, Candy and Dorothy. She returned to Tulare, in 1974 where she was reacquainted with a childhood friend whom she later married in October of 1977 Denny Atkison her husband of 41 years.


They moved to Duncan , OK in 1981, where she worked at Jack Moore Cleaners for 17 years and Horse Mann Elementary for 17 years as well.


Carolyn was an out and about people person, who loved to attend garage sales, auctions ,thrift stores and visit with everyone. Mom was the Crazy Cat Lady .She loved Duncan the people here and was proud to call Duncan her home.


Carol is survived by her Daugher Teressa, Son Richard , 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren. Her brother Charles (Chuck) Willhite and his wife Renee, Brother Barry Willhite and his wife Jan. Sister in laws Gerri and her husband Bud, Phillis and Brothers-in-law Marvin and his wife Barabara. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held at Bailes -Polk Funeral home 910 W Oak, Duncan OK Sunday January 5th,2020. Visitation will be 2-3 PM and Short Service at 3 PM .


Cremation was entrusted to Bails-Polk Funeral Home , Online condolence and cards maybe sent through them.
