Marlow - David Eric Setayesh, known affectionately as Super Dave to his friends and family, passed away Aug. 20, 2026, in Marlow, Oklahoma, following a car wreck. He was born July 16, 1986, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and a genuine kindness that touched the people around him. David will be remembered as a friendly, funny, and kind man whose presence brought comfort and laughter to family and friends alike.

Viewing will be held between 1-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Rush Springs.

Services will be held Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kris Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery. All burial arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.

David was the beloved son of Kelley Kincannon and the proud father of his son, Kobe James Cotton, who was one of the greatest joys of his life.

He is also survived by his sisters, Wendy Finch, Tiffiney Martin, and Hollie Kitchens; as well as his niece, Alexis Finch; and his nephews, Ethan Finch, Xander Colbert, Axel Colbert, Zachary Hewes, Zane Kitchens, Titus Shaw, and Atlas Shaw.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bessie Allred and Frank Allred, whose memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Education was an important part of David's journey. He graduated from Rush Springs and later attended USAO, carrying with him a desire to learn and grow. In his working life, David was a self-employed entrepreneur, a role that reflected both his independence and his determination. He approached life with resourcefulness and drive; those who knew him could see that he valued hard work and the freedom to build something of his own.

David had a wide range of interests that reflected his energetic and engaging personality. He enjoyed fishing, thrifting, and collecting unique items, always appreciating the simple thrill of discovering something special. He loved basketball, sports, music, going to concerts, and playing the guitar. Above all, he cherished time spent with his son, especially watching Kobe play basketball. These moments meant the world to him, and he took great pride in being present for the things his son loved. He was also known for his sense of humor and his ability to make others laugh, a gift that will be remembered by all who knew him.

David's life was one filled with love for his family, loyalty to those close to him, and a spirit that could brighten any room. He will be missed deeply by all whose lives he touched, but the memory of his laughter, his kindness, and his easy friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Hewes, Ethan Finch, Kobe Cotton, Justin Finch, Justin McWilliams, and Tim Jennings.
