Duncan, Oklahoma - Emmett Taylor, 80, of Duncan, passed away in the comforting presence of his family on February 8, 2025 at Duncan Regional Hospital. He was born May 8, 1944 to John A Taylor and Nellie (Miller) Taylor in Memphis, Texas. Emmett was in the Marine Corp and is a Vietnam Veteran.
He married Shirley Shaddox on February 14, 1976. He owned and operated Taylor Excavating in Texas. Upon moving to Duncan, he started a lawn mowing service.
A visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2025 at Carter-Smart, 1316 West Oak Avenue.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2025 at Ray of Hope, 281300 East 1790 Road.
