Tulsa - Eva Lorene McBee, 100, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died mid-evening Dec. 31, 2025, at University Village Senior Living in Tulsa. She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Gas City, Stephens County, Oklahoma, the eldest of three daughters and one son of Alvin Chloe Arterbury (1898-1977) and Viona Lillie Scott (1904-1997).

Lorene was a Duncan resident for over 84 years before moving to Jenks in 2010 and to Tulsa in 2022. She worked with the Halliburton drafting department for 24 years. After retirement, she served as a volunteer for Chisholm Trail Hospice and was voted Volunteer of the Year. Lorene was an active member of several committees at the First Christian Church of Duncan.

Lorene's husband of 60 years, Virgil Nolan McBee, predeceased her Nov. 26, 2003, in Duncan, Oklahoma, at age 80. Her sister, Wanda Daphine Arterbury-Thomas, predeceased her in 2008 in Duncan, Oklahoma, and her brother, Alvin Junior Arterbury, predeceased her in 2022 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Lorene is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Zella Faye and Richard Fogle, who reside in Tulsa; and by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Eva Jeanette and Melvyn Douglass of Houston, Texas, and Sandra Elaine and Chris Hooper of Tulsa. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Gary Brooks Kincannon, Christopher Blake Kincannon, Janna Renee Taluc-Holley, Andrea Denise Taluc-Cosby, Dana Kathleen Taluc-Robertson; and five special grandchildren: Charles Edward Douglass, Katherine Louise Douglass-Sinclair, Robert William Douglass, Robby Kyle Hooper, Brian Scott Hooper. In addition, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren will bask in Lorene's legacies of photos and stories.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at First Christian Church, 946 W. Walnut St., Duncan. Burial will follow the service.

A memorial service in Jenks, Oklahoma, will be held, with details to be announced later this year.
