Lindsay - Frankie Dean (Mercer) Adkins went home to be with Jesus surrounded by love Aug. 1, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born Nov. 22, 1935, to William Franklin Mercer and Virgie Lee (Vestal) Mercer and grew up in the Marlow Area.

She married Blair Pace Adkins in Wichita Falls, Texas April 22, 1950. They had 54 wonderful years together before his passing in 2004. Together, they were blessed with one daughter, Terri Lee, one son, Russell Blair, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Though Lindsay was their primary home, Frankie and Blair moved around a lot and lived overseas due to Blair's line of work in the oilfield. Frankie loved the oilfield life and had several jobs of her own, one of her favorite jobs was being a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. But above everything else she loved being a homemaker, Mama, and Nanaw the most.

Though she faced many hardships in life, her love for Jesus and her family brought out strength and resilience in her that never faded. Frankie was known for always being fun and full of joy in all stages of life, and even a little fiery at times especially when a wahoo game was involved.

She enjoyed spending her days with her family and friends, traveling, antiquing, collecting dishes especially teapots, game nights, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and helping others.

She enjoyed attending church and in her later years, she especially enjoyed being a part of the Blue Hair Backrow Baptist Women at Erin Springs Baptist Church. The group that named themselves "The Lunch Bunch." Faith was at the center of her life and she spent many years volunteering at the clothes closet. Her love for others extended far beyond her own family - she was everyone's Nanaw.

Frankie is survived by her son, Russell Adkins and wife Karen, of Lindsay; one brother, Michael Reynolds, of Marlow; her grandchildren: Michelle Acuna and husband Fernando, of Edmond, Dustin Blankenship and wife Erin, of Lindsay, Misty Fuller and husband Byron, of Lindsay, Mandi Robbins, of Lindsay, Jeremy Adkins, of Norman, Curtis Adkins, of Van Alstyne, Texas, Chris Cooper and wife Andrea, of The Colony, Texas, and Daniel

Cooper, of Ada; great-grandchildren: Quinton Robbins and wife Elizabeth, Kaiton Robbins, Quaid Robbins, Beau Blankenship, JT Adkins, Aidan Derryberry and husband Gunner, Jade Stephen, Mylah Stephen, Skylah Stephen, Aden Specht, Elijah Specht, Grayson Cooper, Brennan Fuller and wife Kamryn, Allison Acuna, and

Brooklyn Acuna; extended family: Todd Parker and wife Jessica and Thomas Blankenship and wife Diana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Blair Adkins; daughter, Terri Cooper and husband Keith Cooper; her parents, William Franklin Mercer and Virgie (Vestal) Mercer-Reynolds; one sister, Doris Jean Blanton; grandsons, Brandon Dale Blankenship and Nathan Dale Blankenship.

Family and friends visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at Erin Springs Baptist Church. Burial is at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of John W.
