Gerry  Riddle
Gerry Riddle, 92, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Gerry Riddle was born on June 18, 1927 in Crosbyton, Texas to Thomas and Vera (Smothers) Ryther. Gerry graduated from Empire High School. Gerry married Warren Riddle on March 26, 1945 in Waurika, Oklahoma and would spend a precious 66 years together raising a beautiful family. Gerry worked for Duncan Drug store for 20 years as a cashier. She was a co-owner of the Ginger Jar until her retirement in the late 1980s. Gerry was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church West, she was an avid reader, a professional shopper, enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and she most adored visiting her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her daughters ; Linda and husband Royce Rollins of St Louis, Missouri, Kimberly Dixon of Duncan, Oklahoma; her sister and her spouse, Maxine and Wayne Wilson of Duncan, Oklahoma; her grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Jim Newcomb of Chicago, Illinois, Jonathan and Alison Rollins of Chicago, Illinois; and her great grandchildren, Sarah Newcomb, Mimi Newcomb, Max Rollins, and Eli Rollins.

Gerry is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Riddle, her parents Thomas and Vera Ryther and her son in law, Chet Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the New Hope Baptist Church West.

Pallbeaers will be Allen Watts, Curtis Wilson, Mike Wilson, Lynn Wilson, Todd Clark and Kreg Murphree. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Walker and Howard Brawdy.
