Comanche - Gloria Elene Hicks was born in Oakdale, California, Oct. 11, 1942. Her parents were Ervan and Pearline Frisk. On July 17, 2025, she passed from this life to her eternal home.

Gloria and Eldon married March 25, 1958, in Reno, Nevada. They were married for 67 years. Gloria has four children: Pamela, Dori, Wesley and Scott.

Eldon and Gloria pastored two churches in Oklahoma: Faith AG in Carnegie (18 months) and First AG in Comanche (10 years). In 1984, Eldon and Gloria became missionaries to Alaska. Gloria and Eldon spent almost 40 years in Alaska and pastored three churches: Nome AG (four years), Haines Christian Center (four years) and Native Assembly (16 years).

Gloria is survived by her husband, Eldon. They have four children: Pamela Hodges, Dori Welch (Bill), Wesley Hicks (Karma), and Scott Hicks (Dyanne). They have eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild: Cole. Gloria has three surviving siblings: Steve Frisk, Stanley Frisk, Marlene Mendosa and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ervan and Pearline Frisk, her brother Duraine Frisk and her son-in-law Tracy Hodges.

Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28 at Ray of Hope Church in Comanche. Viewing is from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at Comanche Funeral Home.
