Janet Gay Hampton Bentley, 81, of Duncan passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 in the Duncan Regional Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Ladd Polk officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.

Janet was born April 26, 1936 at Hydro, Oklahoma the daughter of Archie and Anne Mae (Brewer) Rutledge. She married Leroy Hampton in 1959, and he passed in 1985. She later married Jay Bentley and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She enjoyed collecting antiques, garden and as she always said "Running Away" to the library to read. She attended the West Side Church of Christ and was also precede in death by her parents, and her son Justin Hampton.

Survivors include three sons David Hampton of Lawton, Oklahoma, Stephen Hampton of Trinidad, Colorado and Grady Hampton of Comanche, Oklahoma; her daughter Kelly Bailey of Duncan, Oklahoma; two brothers Tommy Rutledge of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Devallis Rutledge of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
