Velma, Oklahoma - Services for Kelli Nichole (Wright) Smith are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at Velma Baptist Church in Velma Oklahoma, with the Rev. Kerry Glasgow officiating. Interment will follow at the Alma cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home.

Kelli Nichole Smith, age 42, passed from this life Jan. 19,2026 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. She was born Aug. 25, 1983, in Duncan Oklahoma, to Kevin Dean Wright and Robbie Gayle Wright.

Kelli Smith, a cherished member of her community, was born and raised in Velma, where she graduated with the class of 2002. She continued her education at East Central University and further honed her skills at Oklahoma City Community College, ultimately training to become a licensed phlebotomist.

Kelli married the love of her life, Jeremy Smith, Nov. 12, 2005, in a heartfelt ceremony at the Velma Assembly of God. Together, they built a beautiful life in Velma, welcoming two wonderful sons, Colt and Gunnar.

Kelli dedicated several years of her career to Duncan Regional Hospital, where she served as a phlebotomist, before transitioning to her beloved role as a devoted homemaker. She found joy in her family and created lasting memories during their time spent enjoying the lake life with friends.

Kelli's warmth and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Pat Kelley, Herman and Mary Wright.

Kelli is survived by her parents; husband Jeremy Smith, of the home; sons: Colt Brainden Smith and Gunnar McCray Smith, of the home; sister, Jessica Riley (Jason), of Velma; grandfather, Bob Kelley, of Velma; nephew, Jace Riley and niece Jaxyn Riley, of Velma; sister-in-law Sammie Smith, of Velma; best friend, Rachael Womack and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Glenn Ray Hurst, Jimmy "Dos" Sullivan, Michael Bruce, Bubba Bigford, Josh McLain, and Jason Riley. Honorary bearers are Jace Riley, Colt Smith, Gunnar Smith, and Jaxyn Riley.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Chapel in Velma.
