Laneva Joyce (Brown) Kendall, 73, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to be with her heavenly father on Aug. 9, 2016, after a long hard fought battle with lung and heart disease. She is re-united with her husband of 40 years after being apart from each other for the last 18 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Hall officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

"Neva" was born Sept. 16, 1942, in Fredrick, Oklahoma to Coral and Cleo Brown. In 1958 Neva met Reno Kendall who was stationed at Ft. Sill and he became the love of her life. They were married on July 26, 1958, at Gatlin Baptist in Duncan, Oklahoma by the late Dan Pruitt. To this union was born three sons and one daughter.

Neva is survived by her children; Danny Kendall and his wife Julie of Duncan, Oklahoma, Rena Early and her husband Ray of Salina, Kansas, Kenneth Kendall of Duncan, Oklahoma and Eric Kendall and his wife Kim of Ronan, Montana. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McCord and Lois Schornick of Duncan, Oklahoma; brothers, Coral and Jerry Brown of Duncan, Oklahoma and Larry Brown of Kansas City and many nieces and nephews.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband Reno on July 23, 1998, her parents Coral and Cleo Brown, sisters, Betty Murry and Ruth Kitchens and brother-in-law's Bill Kitchens, Joe Schornick and Grady McCord.

Neva was a homemaker and loved and lived for her children. She always had supper at the table and never knew how many seats would be filled at the dinner table from friends her children had invited to dinner. She always had plenty prepared and our doors were always open. Neva taught her children well and we will miss her today and everyday but know that one day we will see her again.

Pallbearers will be Casey Kendall, Brian Howard, Steven Purvis, Wade Pinnick, Randy Earley and Kyle Earley.
