Duncan - Larry Wayne Stewart passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, in Duncan, Oklahoma at the age of 82. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, with the Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow directly after the service. All burial arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

Larry was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Rush Springs to Elmer Clyde and Mary "Mollie" Belle (Gholdston) Stewart. Larry graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1961. After graduating he married the love of his life Lola Jean Whaley Sept. 8, 1962, in the Southern Baptist parsonage in Rush Springs. They were married 62 wonderful years before his passing. Larry was a family man. He loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed working in his yard and garden, going to the grandkids ball games, bow hunting, fishing and working on small engines. Larry moved to Mineral Wells, Texas and was in the Texas National Guards for six years from 1967 to 1973, and also worked at the Southern Airway of Texas before it was closed down in 1973. Larry and Lola moved back to Marlow, where Larry went to work at Fort Sill Air Fields repairing helicopters. After leaving Fort Sill, Larry started working for Halliburton and worked there for 12 years before retiring. Larry was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow, where he happily served wherever he was needed.

Survivors include: his wife Lola of the home; two sons: Kevin Stewart and wife Angy of Blanchard, Bryan Stewart and wife Christy of Tahlequah; two grandchildren: Ellie Scott and husband Bryson of Blanchard, Garrison Stewart of Blanchard; and one great-grandchild, Ronan Scott of Blanchard.

Larry was preceded in death by: his parents Mollie and Elmer Stewart; brother Jerry Stewart; sister-in-law Nelda Stewart; sister Wynema Stewart and brother-in-law Kenneth Stewart.
