Linda Kay Barbour Obituary

Duncan - Linda Kay Barbour, 81, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 5, 1944, in Duncan to Rollin "Doc" and Gladys (Womack) Bennett, Linda grew up with a deep sense of faith, kindness, and community.

She graduated from Duncan High School in 1964 and later attended classes at Red River Vo Tech, preparing for a career marked by dedication. Linda worked as a secretary at Halliburton from 1968 until her retirement in 1994. Her professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

A woman of strong faith, Linda was baptized Oct. 8, 1958, at Prairie Hill Church of Christ and was a devoted member of Chisholm Trail Church of Christ. Her commitment to service extended beyond the church walls — she volunteered her time at the Toy Shop, the Compassion Center and the Duncan Regional Hospital gift shop, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile.

Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing cards with her Marlow friends and bunco nights filled with laughter. She had a passion for travel and embraced every adventure with enthusiasm. Her zest for life was infectious, and she was known as a great encourager — sending thoughtful cards to friends and family, lifting spirits with her kind words and unwavering support.

Linda's legacy is one of love, generosity and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger Barbour; son Greg Barbour; daughter-in-law Chris Barbour; granddaughter Bonnie Barbour; grandson Jackie Bryant; brother James Bennett; and sister Reba Morganson.
